Career: Operations Manager
The UBC Centre for Health Services and Policy Research is seeking an individual with a thorough knowledge of university policies and procedures, exceptional judgment, keen attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the operational, financial and human resources activities of the UBC Centre for Health Services and Policy Research (CHSPR), within the School of Population and Public Health (SPPH). Specific responsibility domains include financial planning, budgeting and management; human resources administration; office and online communications; and general operations. Within these domains, the incumbent will develop and maintain financial budgeting and reporting systems for all CHSPR activities, and will manage the staff recruiting process and the CHSPR website. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that policies and practices in these areas meet or exceed standards set by CHSPR, the university, granting agencies, and other relevant partners (e.g., funding agencies, research partner organizations, ethics boards, etc.). The Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of CHSPR.
