An introduction to census data for university-based health researchers, students, health authority staff and others.

This portal and FAQ is designed to help researchers avoid some of the pitfalls we discovered while exploring and using census data. The focus is on British Columbia, but much of the information is general enough to be of use to researchers interested in other jurisdictions. We also reference 2001 Census data throughout, but believe, in large part, that what we report will conceptually apply to 2006 data.
