Morris Barer
Dr. Barer's research interests include health care financing, health human resource policy (particularly physicians), direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription pharmaceuticals, and the determinants of changing trends in health care utilization.

Charlyn Black
Dr. Black's research focuses on the creation of population-based information systems, the use of administrative data to monitor the quality and effectiveness of medical care, and the development of data-driven tools to improve health care delivery.

Robert G. Evans
One of the world's leading health economists, Dr Evans’ groundbreaking comparative studies of health care systems and funding strategies have helped shape policy in Canada and among health agencies internationally.

Michael Law
Dr. Law's research interests include pharmaceutical policy, direct-to-consumer advertising on prescription drugs, medication adherence and hospitalization for individuals with schizophrenia, and utilization of cost impact of prior authorization policies for antipsychotic medications.

Kimberlyn McGrail
Dr. McGrail's research interests include exploring how personal, economic, and social factors produce health and the role of the health care system in that process, equity of health, health care services use and financing, private and public financing and delivery of health care services, and aging and the use of health and social services.

Steve Morgan
Dr. Morgan’s work seeks to identify policies that achieve balance between three sometimes-competing goals: providing equitable access to necessary care, managing health expenditures, and promoting valued innovation.

Sam Sheps
Dr Sheps’ research focuses on surgical and health service wait times, adverse medical events, measuring quality of care, and trends in the use of care by the elderly in British Columbia. He is also currently the principal investigator on a Health Canada-funded project assessing approaches to governance and safety in non-health industries.

Jason Sutherland
Dr. Sutherland’s research interests include development of methods for monitoring and evaluating health system performance, measuring burden of illness and exploring causes and consequences of variations in health system utilization and funding.

Sabrina Wong
Dr. Wong's research focuses on primary health care, specifically patient-provider communication (risk communication, decision-making), cancer control and prevention, and service utilization among different ethnocultural groups. Her current project focuses on inequities in health and disparities in access to health services.
