CHSPR’s vital role as a partner in the ongoing development of the health services data housed at Population Data BC has put the Centre’s researchers in a unique position to investigate population-wide patterns of health and health services use across the province.

This includes important projects delving into chronic disease co-morbidity, long-term and home care, adverse events in Canadian hospitals, and the service consumption patterns of high users of health care. The research theme has also spearheaded the design and production of two editions of CHSPR’s British Columbia Health Atlas.
